A soft, pitiful cry split the otherwise calm air. Dayshadow turned his ears back. A Halcyon cat, Quiver, sat nearby, cleaning the last two kits. Ne and Dayshadow had just returned from transporting the kits' siblings to their new clan and were pausing for a short rest. Quiver turned to Dayshadow. Ne had a smile on ner muzzle, but it didn't quite reach ner eyes. "Kinda seems surreal. All this bloodshed, cats dying on both sides of things, and now here we are shuffling around a bunch of kits." Ne turned back down to the kits between ner paws. "Innocent babies too young to know what it is to hate." It was certainly not what Dayshadow expected
